FBLA students win state competition
Members of the Ripley High School Future Business Leaders of America organization are on their way to compete nationally in Anaheim, California.
Sophomore T. J D. won first place in Cyber Security at both the regional and state competitions and sophomore Curt L. won first place in Technology Concepts at both the regional and state competitions. |
Ripley JROTC Rifle Team takes State Championship
For the past six years, RHS shooters have ranked second behind the David Crocket Navy JROTC team at the state competition. This year, the Ripley team inched their rivals out of the coveted first place position.
This year, the Ripley rifle team won its conference championship, the five state 7th Brigade Championship and now earned the stop spot in the state championship.
The RHS team has only has one more competition this season. The team will compete in the Daisy Nationals in Rogers, Ark. in July. Senior Army Instructor Major Hugh T. Cook said the RHS team is only losing one senior this year and he expects a strong team for the 2013-2014 academic year. |
