UT Martin Freshman Scholarship for Dual Enrollment Students: The scholarship will provide $133 per semester hour of credit for course work earned through UTM's Dual Enrollment program. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive from this program is $1,596. See Donna Smith or Kim Kelley for more details and information.
UT Martin Department of Communications offers a $1,000 scholarship to three incoming freshmen who declare Communications as their major and remain a major for at least one year. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis looking at academic achievements, media experience, and a 250-word essay. Applications are available at RHS in the Counseling office. AES Engineers Scholarship The consulting firm of AES Engineers is offering a $500 scholarship to deserving students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions they will find on their site. (click on the link above) AES believes that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. Their scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. You are not required to be enrolled in engineering courses to be eligible. Deadline for entry is October 3, 2013.

B. Davis Scholarship - The creators of the "Student Award Search Aid" website are renewing the scholarship for 2013. Click on the link above for more information and to apply. Award amount is $1,000 with a deadline of May 27,2013.
Junior Auxiliary of Lauderdale County Scholarship- This scholarship is available for students that are going into a field related to children, social work, or benefiting the underprivileged. The application for this scholarship is available in the guidance office and must be returned to Junior Auxiliary by March 24, 2013.
Farm Bureau Scholarship for Lauderdale County- $300 scholarship awarded to one student going into an agricultural related field whose family is a member of Farm Bureau. Application can be picked up in the counseling office and must be returned to Farm Bureau by April 12, 2013.
Lauderdale County Incentive Scholarship- Student must plan to attend DSCC, UT Martin Ripley Center, TTC at Ripley, Newbern, Covington, or Alamo. $500 will be awarded. See Ms. Sue Toles in Room 103 for additional information. An application can be picked up in the counseling office or in Room 103.
FMY Orthodontics Scholarship Award- Applicants must be currently or have been an Orthodontic patient of FMY Orthodontics. Pick up the information concerning this scholarship in the counseling office. Deadline for submission to FMY Orthodontics is April 4,2013.
The Lauderdale County Soil Conservation District Scholarship- This scholarship is given in memory of Mr. Earl West, former District Conservationist of Lauderdale County. The award will be given to an individual who has an interest in pursuing a degree in agriculture. Information and applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline is April 1, 2013.
Teresa Patterson McLemore Memorial Nursing Scholarship- This scholarship is given to a deserving Ripley High School graduate that is planning to pursue a career in the nursing profession. Applications are available in guidance. Deadline is April 1, 2013.
Scott White Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship- The Fraternal Order of Police, Robert P. White Lodge #27 is offering a $500 scholarship to a student who is pursuing a career in the Law Enforcement field. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline is April 1, 2013.
Student Council Scholarship- Applications are available in the guidance office. You must be or have been a member of Student Council to qualify. Deadline is April 5, 2013.
Robert and Charlene Ward Memorial Scholarship- Two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each. One to a person entering the medical field and one to a person pursuing a business related field such as sales or marketing. Deadline is April 5, 2013.
Colby A. Arwood Memorial Scholarship- This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to a current baseball player. Applications are in the Counseling Office and should be submitted by March 20, 2013.
The Lauderdale County School Nutrition Program Scholarship- A $200 scholarship is available to a qualified individual attending a college, university, or technical center. Applications are available in the Counseling Office and should be submitted by April 15, 2013.
The Hospital League Volunteers Nursing Scholarship- The Lauderdale Community Hospital League of Volunteers is offering a $750 scholarship for a student planning to enter the nursing field. Applications are available in the guidance office but must be delivered to Lauderdale Community Hospital by April 15, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.
Thursday Evening Musicale Scholarship- This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in art or music. Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline is April 15, 2013.
Tollie Cheek Memorial Scholarship- Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, strong leadership qualities, personal responsibility, and a motivated attitude. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office. Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2013.
Margaret Ann Wright Williams Scholarship- This scholarship is awarded to a deserving young person from Lauderdale County to pursue a college degree in education, church ministry, or medicine. It is chosen on the basis of demonstrated financial need, moral character, and a strong willingness to pursue a college education. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be submitted by April 15, 2013.
Bank of Ripley/UTM Ripley Center Scholarship- This scholarship will be awarded to a Ripley High School graduate who will attend the UTM Ripley Center in the fall following graduation. Pick up applications in the guidance office and return them by April 15, 2013.
Bank of Ripley/Jerry Coleman Memorial Scholarship- Students that apply should display leadership qualities in athletics as well as in scholastic achievements. Applications are available in the guidance office. Please submit them by April 15, 2013.
Bank of Ripley/Dyersburg State Community College Scholarship- Applying students must attend DSCC in the fall following their graduation. Applications may be picked up in the counseling office and returned by April 15, 2013.
Balanced Man Scholarship/Tennessee Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon- This scholarship is for graduating male seniors that will attend The University of Tennessee Knoxville in the fall of 2013. There is no obligation for winners to join Sigma Phi Epsilon or any other fraternity at UT. 1st place award=$1,500; 2nd place= $1,000; 3rd place= $500; plus four $500 scholarships to applicants who greatly excel in one of the four categories - Leader, Scholar, Athlete, and Gentleman. Applications may be picked up in guidance or may be completed online at www.tnalpha.com . Application deadline is April 15th and must be mailed to P.O. Box 2223 Knoxville, TN 37901 (if not completed online.)
Aaron Schuh Memorial Scholarship- This scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be presented to a deserving student in memory of Aaron Schuh. The recipient should excel both academically and socially, have outstanding interpersonal skills, and participate in extracurricular activities. Financial need and athletic participation (with special consideration for baseball/softball) will also be considered for this scholarship, along with recommendations from teachers. Applications are available in the Counseling office. Deadline to apply is April 15th.
William "Lynn" Webb Memorial Scholarship- This scholarship will award $1,000 for the first year of college in memory of Lynn Webb. Preference will be given to students who plan to major in careers dealing with wildlife but all RHS students are eligible to apply. Applications must be returned to the counseling office by April 15th.
